Classes are Over for the Day! And Comes my Next Topic: Animal Rights

In my philosophy class we are talking about animal rights. And because that term "animal rights" is so broad, I will explain:

The rights that non-human animals have in relation to human needs/ customs. I have a couple examples.

Ex1:
Humans eating animals: what is the point where it is wrong to eat them? Is the line drawn at species? If so why? Is it drawn at mass "genocide?" If not, why?

Ex2:
Animal testing: Is it okay? If so, is it okay for some animals and not okay for others? If animals are treated "well" is animal testing more justifiable to those who don't believe in it?

Ex3:
You were in a room with a dog and a rabbit, and the dog eats the rabbit. If the dog had not eaten the rabbit, would it be justifiable to eat the rabbit? If it were, why wouldn't it be justifiable to eat the dog?

Those are the questions I have to answer. If anyone has any views on these things, please please feel free to comment! I need every point of view! I'm not going to ostracize you for speaking you mind! :)
