Mostly because I go to college in New York City.
Our university sent us an email yesterday telling us to be vigilant and be on guard over the weekend, and to look out for any suspicious activity. They told us to go about our daily business the best we can, but as I read the email out loud to my suite mates we started rolling our eyes. There's no way we can "go about our daily business" when CNN has already written an article about how there's a plot to plan a 9/11 anniversary attack sometime tomorrow, here, in our city.
We're not sure what to do. We've already decided we're not leaving our dorm at all tomorrow, so we're planning to go out later this afternoon and stock up on food and water, just in case. I met my parents for lunch and my dad gave me four dust masks - one for each of my suite mates and myself - in case a bomb goes off and there's dust and rubble in the air.
Also, subways are a no-no. That's where the rumored attack(s) might be.
Jesus, Mibba, I hope nothing happens to us. Or to anyone.
