Religion and why? | Any other writing sites?

I'm wavering between Christianity and atheism. I was born and raised in a Christian household, but lately I've been really skeptical about God. I mean a big strong man in the sky who only lets you be happy in death if you believe in him and he created the whole world and wants you to come to church every sunday and apologize for being human... Sounds pretty sketchy, huh? And I just haven't been able to feel any "connection" lately. Now, I'm not asking you to convince me to become a Christian or to start arguments, but what is your religion\beliefs? And tell me WHY you believe what you do. Religion really fascinates me. I love hearing about it, and its a really good starter for stories. And it's a beautiful thing, ya know?

Do you guys know of any other creative writing websites you would suggest?If so I AUTOMATICALLY LOVE YOU <3 I want to get my stuff more well-known, but I'm too shy to enter my stuff in magazines and sh*t just yet.
