Has anybody here been on a swim team?

I'm planning to be on a swim team for my school this year. I used to swim about 3 years ago and I had some problems with motivation and exercising. I need some tips from other swimmers.

I am a healthy person, I have more muscle than the average person. I naturally have a perfect body weight, so I don't have the emphasize on eating healthy or working out everyday. I can do some gymnastics, so I'm flexible also.

When I swim it's not so much about my power, because I'm strong and I have good movement and flexibility.

But I find that right in the middle of the lap I just feel incredibly tired and I think "oh my god I can't do this" and I start swimming very slow.

What do I do about this?
