Can we get some opinions on this?

There's a song called "No Idea" that is on All Time Low's "Dirty Work" album. This song was co-written by the lead singer.

A few days ago, Big Time Rush's song "No Idea" was leaked onto the internet.

After listening to both songs, I came to the conclusion that the BTR version is very similar to the original. In fact, only a few words were changed.

I get on Tumblr, and the "Hustlers" and the BTR fans are in a full blown argument. This argument is about how BTR "stole" ATL's song.

I then found a blog on Buzznet about the current situation (which can be found here: http://eyesofenvy.buzznet.com/user/journal/15595431/battle-stolen-song-all-time/)

My opinion on the whole situation is that if a band is going to base their song off another band, the majority of the song should be different. If not, the song should clearly have the words "cover" somewhere in the title so people are not confused.

I don't believe BTR had any intentions on stealing the song, but someone else probably did (once again, my opinion).

I was wondering what you guys though. Is this just a silly mistake, or does it sound like a total ripoff?
