what happened to Thanksgiving?

What happened to Thanksgiving? Is it not important anymore--of course not, to the people like Walmart and other stores like that.

Thanksgiving is about giving thanks for what your greatful for and spending time with family. Not running over to the Christmas tree to rip colored paper and look at the new thing you got.

I'm just tired of seeing Christmas practically avertised in October or even late September, completly overriding Thanksgiving. Halloween pretty big anyways. Christmas music is already playing on the radio, christmas trees are up in stores with the lights. You know, Christmas actually isn't that great for our ecnomy.

Why must the world be so run by money! It just annoys me.
