That Awkward Moment When...

So today I encountered two awkward moments and now I feel the need to subject you all to them. I was involved with one but the other had to do with a friend of mine.
Last night my school had a chorus concert at our high school. When my group wasn't singing we sat in the audience. On one side of me was this girl I know who started to talk about semi-formal this weekend. She told me that she wanted to ask this guy to go with her but she didn't think he would say yes. I felt bad so I offered to ask the guy to go with her myself seeing as I see him every morning. She was scared of what he would say and went back and forth about if she wanted me to ask him for her. Finally she said she wanted me to ask him, seemed easy at the time. Then she told me if he asked who she was, to say "the girl you hang out with in the library somethings during 2nd period." Well I was worried that he might not know who she was. So today I went to the library with all my friends where we hang out every morning before the bell rings. I saw the guy there but I wasn't sure if i should say something. It ended up that I just kept looking at him like i wanted to say something and he just gave me a look as if to say "What?" AWKWARD
Next after that i got to my first period class. This guy I know who sits behind me looked really upset so I wanted to talk to him but I didn't want to upset him more. I asked if he was okay, he said no. That was the only information he offered. Come to find out later, he has had a crush on this girl since the first day of school and a friend of his convinced him to ask her out. He didn't want to, but no with his friend's advice, he felt like she would say yes. So he asked her out, she said no. As if that wasn't bad enough she said her boyfriend was coming home soon. AWKWARD
