Harry Potter vs Twilight

Okay, I'm not sure where this thing all began. All I know is that I keep hearing 'real Harry Potter fans hate Twilight!' and 'you can't like Twilight and Harry Potter, only one or the other.'
I'm really curious - where does it state this?
Anyways, I'm Team Potter all the way!
And Teams Weasley, Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Barty Jr., ect.
And all the other teams in HP that I love. :)

The question that I want to ask, though, is what do YOU think is better - HP or Twilight?
And who is your favourite character(s)?
