So in my last journal I mentioned about a new guy that I like. I still like him as always. Anyways.... In Honors English we're reading Animal Farm. I'm on Chapter 6 and it's okay, not something I would normally read but I like it. A lot of the academic kids who read didn't like it but they won't go into depth with the story as Honor kids will. I guess it use to be called The Fairystory Animal Farm so we have to figure out if this is a fairytale or not and as everybody knows there are no set of rules written down for what a fairytale is. People sort of have their own expectations for a fairytale but we only know about the ones Disney made kid-friendly.
Like Cinderella's evil stepsister's cut off one of their toes and the other cut off her heel. And Goldilocks get torturted when the bears finally find her. So are fairytales actually based on scary or grusome endings.
Well onto a happier note, one more week till my break. Sweet Jesus. Going to Maryland with my dad and his fiance. :D Can't wait.
