Albert Skelton

b. 1908
d. 1928

Albert was the fourth child, and only son, of John and Myrtle Skelton, owners of the house between 1905 and 1930. Albert was in and out of various institutions throughout his life - first medical hospitals for his sickliness and later sanatoriums for his depression and homosexual tendencies. Between the ages of fifteen and nineteen, he underwent electroshock therapy and aversion therapy and was also scheduled for a lobotomy. The lobotomy never went ahead as Albert was allowed to visit home for his twentieth birthday. Whilst left unattended one evening, he went into the bureau, found his father's gun and promptly shot himself in the head. A year later, his parents lost most of their money in the Wall Street Crash and ultimately lost possession of the house in 1930.
