Its a shame that we all cant get the truth from the people that are supposed to mean the most to us.

You let me down before, and youve been doing it my whole life.. Ill hope maybe one day you can learn and tell me the truth, stop treating me like Im 5 and finally except that Im growing up. If your looking at the old photographs, you need to know thats not me anymore and its time to make new memories with new photographs, if you ever make the effort to.

You call me your little girl like I never grew up
I dont call you Daddy anymore, isnt that a hint
When I moved away, I barely spoke to you
I had a new father figure, but he wasnt you
I know you tried you best, this I try to accept
Even through all your mistakes
You did what you could to raise me
But it seems like Im no longer even your daughter
Let alone your little girl
Maybe one day youll remember me
But for now
Im just a shadows standing outside your window
