Failed Homework

Ive had a nice three weeks to completely my art homework.. I had to draw to objects that meant a lot to me and explain why. The thing is..

I HAVE NOTHING THAT MEANS ANYTHING TO ME

So I decided to do a Holden Caufield and wrote a nice letter to my art teacher :)
I explained the difficulty in finding something that mattered as I came to the realization that I ornamental objects hold no meaning for me. Their trinkets you have as life goes along, the come and go like many others. I searched deep, but found nothing. Through the expression of words I realized that they are what really mattered to me. So in saying that I said

"I can understand if you fail me for not doing my ART homework correctly."

Most likely.. Ill fail :)

But cant you express art through words?
And if so.. Then I dont think I really failed at all.
