Can't Listen to Music

So I'm really into sitting around with my ear-buds in and iPod on. Listening to hours and hours of music. But thanks to my dog I can't do that. She ate my ear-buds. I've heard of dogs eating contacts, socks, and shoes, but ear-buds. I put them on my desk chair and went to go get my laptop. When I came back they were on the floor and she was chewing on them. The cord is ripped so the wires are showing, one of the plastic covers is gone, and their all chewed up. I'm so annoyed. I just up loaded a new CD to my iPod too. Now I have to wait a week to listen to it. Anyone ever had something like this happen to them??? Or am I the only one???
