Story information help, please?

So, I'm planning out a new story idea that I plan to start writing soon, but I need some information that I can't seem to find online. The main character is an A+, 4.0 GPA, honors/AP high school student who moves from Michigan to Georgia.

I need to know how that would affect her grades, classes, graduation. I don't know if an honors class in Michigan is still an honors class in Georgia, or if their grading scales are the same, or if their classes have the same requirements, or if they have the same graduation requirements.

If any of you know this information, or have any idea where I can find it, I'd really appreciate your help :)
