Why is life so unfair?

The same girl has been in my head for weeks on end, i know, sad right? Here's the thing, she's a year older than me! School is coming to and end, we have 3/4 of a semester left! Say she did like me, and I DID ask her out, we would only have 3 months to be together. Sigh... I tried forgetting about her...multiple times...that didn't work. I am really stuck and I need advice. Could anyone help me? Life is so unfair...
