So I woke up at a decent time today, 1:30. I got ready and left my dorms to go to...Coldstone. I first made a stop at The Dusty Bookshelf though, which is a used book store. It's great. I love it so much. Anyway I got a poetry book called Best Loved Poems edited by Richard Charlton MacKenzie and two essay books called "The Graywolf Annual Six: Stories From The Rest of The World" and "The Graywolf Annual Five: Multi-Cultural Literacy". I'm excited to read them. ^_^
So then I walked across the street to go to Coldstone. Coldstone's an awesome ice cream place where they mix ice cream and toppings. It's great, you should all go. I got the Chocolate Devotion...as always. I wish I got it in dark chocolate, that's how I used to always get it, I forgot to ask though. So it was regular chocolate...
Anyway, that's basically all I wanted to write about. I'm thinking about going to either Subway or Burger King for dinner...possibly Starbucks too. I'm dying for a Caramel frap, but with all the money I've spent in the past two days I should probably just get the Shaken Passion Iced Tea Lemonade with Raspberry. Now that is amazing...
So what are you guys doing today? I need to write my American Lit paper that was due Friday and then again yesterday when I asked the prof if I could turn it in later...Oops... *sighs* I just got stuck writing. This is the assignement:
"From class discussion and your notes, apply what we have learned about *insert author* and her literary strategies to the final chapter of *insert book*, *insert essay* Think about the images, descriptions, themes, use of organization, and so on that we have seen recurring in her other chapters. Also think about her religious concerns and the way they get displayed in the various chapters.
In what ways does the final chapter show any of this at work?
So yeah...so far I'm doing decently...I hope. I got a B on the last paper because it was too long and I didn't really use enough examples and...I didn't analyze it. *sighs* I'm not good at these essays. v.v I better get good though if I want any chance of an English Major.
I still need to apply to this university. Ugh...I doubt I'll get in though, I didn't do well in college the past two years, my ACT score was low, my cumulative gpa isnt at the min. needed for the university. Oh well... At least I'll have friends to live with next year. ^_^ I'm super, super excited. I'm like so excited. I can't even explain how excited I am. I love the girls I'm going to live with.<3 They're great. Anyway, I'm done. :) I hope you guys have a good day today.
I'm also thinking about watching Garden State or Haispray, maybe both. Possibly Sixteen Candles. Wait, I lent that movie out last night... I also want to watch (500) Days Of Summer if I ever get it back from the person I lent it too. I need to get back my Beauty and The Beast dvd. That dvd...is my favorite dvd ever that I own. I love it to death. Anyway...
