So...I'm Going to State Speech :)

So, last Friday we went to our (I wanna say...?) 5th Speech meet of the season. And...I did not make it to finals in my Persuade but...I made it to finals in my Serious Duo w/ my duo partner, Maroah. I thought it was going to be another '6th place guarantee' match but as Maroah and I went up to claim our award, the kept calling off the names of duos and handing out the awards, as we kept getting closer and closer to 1st place...it was down to me and Maroah and my friend, Schyler from Trinity and his partner. Well, when they called up Schyler to claim 2nd place, I nearly burst into tears. We won first place...I'm still in shock really. I'm really happy though that we're going to state. It's like a huge honor. And now, Maroah gets to make fun of me and get a chuckle of doing her impression of me crying when we went made 1st place.
I hate to admit it...but I was a babbling brook.
So...I'm going to State in April. Go me!
Now we have another meet this Saturday which I'm hoping to place in another category. Hopefully my persuade...I hope.
