Comment swap for some help? | Star Wars

As part of my advanced English course I'm doing a comparitive study.
The two texts I'm comparing are Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Gone by Michael Grant.

Basically, I need to outline the pressures that 'force' Anakin to the dark side and the obstacles he faces; and then relate the text as a whole to the concept of journeys, and state how it shows that concept.

I need to do the same with Sam Temple from Gone.

And then compare the two.

I know most of you probably haven't read Gone; but if any of you are Star Wars fans, it'd be awesome if you could help me out a little and give me some fresh ideas. Why do you think Anakin turned to the dark side? What things influenced him?

And if you've read Gone then it'd be extra awesome if you could help me compare the texts. That's the main thing I'm having trouble with. I've got that both Anakin and Sam were raised by a single mother, they both had 'nurturing female influences' and they're both reasonably young males. But that's about it.
