Need Help Picking Out A Car

Hello guys, I'm new to this whole journal thing, but I have a dilemma and I'm curious to know what other people think.

So here's the story...I've had the same car since I first learned how to drive 3 years ago and it finally died on me =[ my transmission is shot and it would cost too much to fix it, so I have to either sell it as is or hopefully trade it in.

The only good news about it is that now I can get a brand new car. I have 5 options so far, and I did some research but I just want some feedback from anyone that knows about cars or just a friendly opinion/suggestion would be great.

These are my choices:

1. Volkswagen Jetta.
2. Volkswagen New Beetle.
3. Kia Soul.
4. Mazda3
5. Hyundai Elantra

I drove an SUV so I'm used to being up high which is why the Soul is an option, it is the only SUV I can afford to lease.

So what do you guys think I should get? Thanks for helping me out!
