Advice anyone???

So my girlfriend doesn't want to go to prom or graduation this year. I kinda wanna go to prom but im not going to graduation either. I know she doesn't wanna go for dramatic personal reasons, and i dont wanna upset her by asking her to go with me, but i dont wanna go if she's not gonna be there. I broke her heart last year right before prom and i really wanna make it up to her in a special way so i wanna know if you girls thinks it's to clingy or weird or stupid, to have our own little prom at a lake near by???? any thoughts, please help cause i dont wanna look like an idiot infront of her.
