Normal makeup sucks. And, like, Homestuck doesn't.

Ugh, I finally start working next Tuesday. Thank god, I've become a total shut-in.

So, I go on Youtube because I'm obsessed with makeup tutorials. And there's about a million videos on there that are all about neutral "natural-looking" makeup. Boring-arse Naked Palette from Urban Decay (I do own the Naked 2, shhhh) or light colours or something just... boring. I don't care what people where on their faces, but sometimes, it's like, how many people need to make a tutorial about how to do a damn smokey eye? Or how to put eyeliner on. Or whatever. I really love watching videos are creative makeup, or things that are considered "unwearble" (though I think that term is entirely subjective). Just because they're often more complicated in technique (like I know how to use a blending brush in the crease, thanks) and can really make you think differently about different looks and applications.

I don't know, just using bright colours, or dramatic dark shades for eyeshadow are just so much more satisfying than just regular makeup. But I guess it takes a sort of courage to wear neon yellow and green around your eyes. But typically people out in the real world don't really notice or care. I do my makeup for me, the way I like it, and anyone who doesn't like it can piss off.

That said, my favourite channels or "gurus" for makeup are:

pixiwoo (if you watch makeup on youtube at all, you know them)
klairedelysart
fablesinfashion
queenofblending (sweetest person ever)

And now onto something somewhat related.

I've recently gotten into Homestuck even though I never thought I would. I guess the really wry humor and excessive profanity drew me in. Yeah. Anyway, I've always appreciated good cosplay, when the costumes are accurate and the people act in character. As far as the story goes, I think my favourite character is, hands down, Eridan, because he is just completely ridiculous, and I have a particular liking for the jackass characters. Plus he's really pathetic, and it's hilarious. And for some reason I picture him as a stuttering chav girl during March Madness.

And a gif. For everyone who thinks they're better than others for their taste in music, movies, whatever:
