So I was supposed to bake a 6 layered rainbow cake with a friend today.. But after 4 hours of her somehow failing how to get around the city that she's lived in all her life it was a bust.
I also decided to take all the eggs, and buttermilk out of the fridge to get to room temperature.
After getting home from trying to meet her somewhere, I decided to make the cake, just not the 6 layers. That takes WAY to long (about 3 hours to just bake since only 2 pans can go in at one time).
Anyway. I waited till the 2 layers cooled enough to work with. Made a lovely light whipping cream frosting. Covered it and cut a piece. I couldn't finish it though. It was a bit to much for me. Very good though. Wrong icing for a rich cake but I didn't want to fuss with a butter cream.
But how I have a cake that will.. kinda melt by tomorrow on the cake if it's not eaten, and no one can come eat some.
