To ink or not to ink

I've seriously considering getting a tattoo lately. Ever since I have a stable, good-paying job, I've been pondering on whether getting a tattoo would be a good idea.

I've already thought of several that I could possibly get. At first I was between a Halo related tattoo, a Fable III related one, a Skyrim related one, a Batman related one, or an Alice in Wonderland one.

All of the things above are related to me somehow. Halo was the first videogame I ever played on the Xbox and that's what got me into the gaming community. Fable was the first RPG I played for Xbox and Stephen Fry starts as the voice of Reaver, owner of Reaver Industries, which is my favorite character in the games. Skyrim, I love Skyrim; it's an amazing, well rounded game and yeah, I just love it.

Batman, this one has a more personal meaning than just games; Batman was the first comic book I ever read, the first Animated Series that I loved, and it brings with it the Joker, my favorite villain; because of the marvelous portrayals of the criminal mind, these comics brought me to the realization that I wanted to become a Psychologist and treat patients in a prison; crime is my fascination. Because of my love for this comics and the complex characterization of the villains, I am now pursuing a Master's of Counseling Psychology degree and an internship in a Federal Prison.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There are my two favorite books of all time. The amazing world and Carroll created, and the characters and the nonsense, it has always been my model of what a novel should be like: Fun, nonsensical, and interesting. The Mad Hatter being my favorite character is what lead me to finally choose a tattoo and I think I'm actually getting this one.

TIID KLO UL

Time Sand Eternity.

These are from Skyrim, words of power. This word of power is called Slow Time. Shout at time, and command it to obey, as the world around you stands still.

Not only it covers my love for RPGs, but it reflects one of my favorite quotes in Alice in Wonderland:

"He's murdering the time! Off with his head!"

The Mad Hatter quarrels with Time upon the Queen of Hearts accussing him of trying to murder Time during a festival in which he sang for the court. Since that day, it has always been 6 o'clock for the Hatter.

I kinda went on a long rant there but tell me what you think?

Do you have any tattoos? or do you want to get any?

Care to share the meaning behind them?
