Barista: Intro

There isn't a day when I say I don't absolutely love my job. I have the coolest boss and I work at the place I met my amazing boyfriend. Though I love when someone will come into the shop and order grande and venti as if we're corporate coffee starbucks and not just a little coffee/hookah/ entertainment shop in town. Barista 101 know all coffee terms including Grande, Venti, Black eye, Skinny, dry etc. Basics to working at a coffee house. know your drinks to perfection. If a shot isn't three layered its too bitter to serve. learned the hard way. Steaming milk proved to be a challenge when I first started. Steamer became the stubborn machine who I had to find common ground with. Tilting to get the swirl effect makes creamy rich foam. Temperature also very important people don't like drinking burnt milk that smells like foot cheese. Mh But I do love how easy it is now. Coffee will forever be my one and only vice.
