Layouts WHUT?

Hi guys!

So I really don't understand how to set up layouts. Like I've looked at tutorials and they do not help me at ALL. My one story has a bitchin' layout thanks to my dear friend Notoriety (love love love) but I can't figure out how to do one on my own. I FAIL AT TECHNOLOGICAL THINGS.

Soooo would someone maybe be lovely and explain the mystery that is a Mibba story layout to me?
