Your Vacations Out Of the Country?

Hello there!
I know this is a bit ahead of time, but I haven't been able to think of much else. Every summer, my grandmother/dad and mom go on a different vacation. Last year it was Greece, and this year it was Cancun. Well, my mom was talking to me, and she said that we're actually going to go to Germany next year. Words can't even explain how excited I am. I've never been outside of the United States, so it'll be my first time voyaging to an entirely different place. I'm curious to see what the German culture is. I can't wait to explore the traditions and buildings, etc.

Anyway, have you ever been out of your home country? If so, where? I'm new at this, so tell me where you went and what it was like. Thanks guys.(:
