addendum!

this is a quick addendum to my previous blog entry.

so i was standing outside the other night, letting my dog out, and it had been raining all day. it was dark, but nice, and not disgustingly humid or hot, and in the air was that smell that everyone wonders what the name is, and that's petrichor: the smell in the air right after it rains, and that's my favorite smell in the world. it always makes me happy and i just love summer nights because of all the crickets and that smell. :D

and i was thinking about how i could sit out there at night and write like nobody's business if the olympics weren't on, and then this idea came to me about a boy who sees this beautiful girl but doesn't know her name or anything about her, and a girl who knows a lot about destiny, and that's where my newest story was born. also, it had something to do with my best friend writing an original fiction about her and i, so i guess you can have her to thank for this too.

it's going to be an original fiction, and i really feel like i can handle this one on top of everything else going on in my writing world right now.

so that's that. i'll be back soon! :3
