Im not even going to talk about anything important I just wanted to try it out and ramble about unimportant things like sock's ... What the fuck am I talking about sock's are well important i'd be fucked without them.
Especially at Download festival, I went this year with my soul twin Shannen (Mosher123) and if it wasn't for my sock's I would have probably died.
I mean come on we hadn't even got to the main gate and it started pissing it down, we got the tent up when it started drizziling for a little bit, luckily without too much hastle ...
Although we did have this little flap thing at the top of the tent what was meant as a vent type thing so when its warm you dont suffocate, but the bloody thing kept blowing up at night and the rain kept getting in and dripping on mine and Shannen's face's, but being the lazy people we are, we just couldnt be bothered to deal with it.
We where only there for 6 day's, thats counting getting there and the day we left, I took loads of socks with me probably enough to last me the month and I think I ended up wearing all of them.
It didnt help that I only had my converse with me and it got pretty wet and muddy, pretty damn fast and those of you who own convers know, they aint water proof!
We we're literally swimming in the mud it was that bad and it didnt turn solid until the last day so as you can imagine my shoes ... you couldnt even see them under all the damn mud.
So since the first day was the worst for mud you would think it would be a bad idea te get drunk ... well nobody told me and shannen this, we only had 4 cans of larger, 2 each and some how we maneged to convince random people to give us move, on this conquest these guys asked us for weed and one of the boys in our little group had a sign on his tent that said free weed so we sent them there which got Sam (The guy in our group) dragged out of his tent in the middle of the night :3
Well while we where on our drunken escepades I ended up wearing Shannen's jacket and we made friends with this guy called Rob, so me Shannen, Rob and Spooner (One of the lad's from our group) where walking back to Rob's camps gazebo and I ended up falling on my back in the mud while everyone tried to help me up but cause I was drunk I just found it funny and continued to lay in the mud, when they did get me up Shannen laughed at me for falling over and I just turned around and casually told her "It's ok, im wearing your jacket" :D
Anyways back to sock's :)
So my socks where basically the only thinks attempting to keep my feet dry even though they did get defeated by the mud, it's been about two month's since download and I still find that bloody mud in my socks no matter how many times I wash them,
But Download festival is a home away from home, while youre there you just sit and bitch and moan how cold, wet and muddy it is but when you get home you're like I need to go back I dont care about the cold I wanna go home :3
