New Green Day...No, just no.

I stayed with Green Day, when people were hateing on American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, but these new songs are just off to me. No matter how bad my day was, I could listen to Green Day and I'd suddenly be okay. But these new songs are just...no. I've tried to like them, because Green Day will always be my #1 favorite band. BUT the new CD's...I dare say I may not even buy them. Green Day will always mean something to me, and I will defend them against haters no matter what...but I've lost some respect for them. They are slowly becoming no better than what's on the radio. Songs about partying and stuff. I miss the old Green Day, not like Dookie but anything before Uno. :/

It's good that their trying new things, and expanding their style. And I'm sure they've lose a lot of fans for it, but I'm also sure they GAINED a lot of fans for it.

I do kinda like "Let Yourself Go". I don't really like "Oh Love" Or "Kill The DJ" but I respect the songs because I respect the band. It's their music, they can do whatever they want with it. As long as they enjoy it, and are happy doing it, that's all I can ask for.
