What In The World Are We Doing?

I am a 16 year old girl and life seems as if its some ploy to get us all to follow certain rules and expectations that seem next to impossible to go by. I mean why do I have to insert a dollar bill in a certain way to get my soda? Is there any reasoning behind why I need to now how to plot X on a coordinate plane in my everyday life? How about at least five sentences in a paragraph? Why can't I write four and call it good? These questions get to me on a daily bases. Why is society making up these rules that are seemingly useless? Does the soda machine really care if we put our dollar in a certain way? Does math care if we use its every skill daily? Does a story care if we use three sentences instead of five? No. So why should we break our backs just to please everyone else who is stuck in these pointless rule? I will put my damn dollar in the wrong way all day if I please sure I won't get my soda, but hey I am living by my rules. I will refuse to do anything that involves a coordinate plane in my math class and fail, But hey that's my rule. If I want to write four sentences instead of five, and get deducted points, then I will because in the end those our my rules. I want to be my own person I live by my rules and expectations, not something that someone else has designed to "help" me. Because in the end who do we really have?
