Chan's Trick Basket

Hello lovelies. So Halloween is rolling in again. Sadly, Halloween isn't a a big thing here in Guatemala. In fact, most people consider it demonic and shun it because it's a "sin" and it has ties with "witchcraft". I kid you not. I used to have so much fun when I celebrated Halloween up in the States and felt immediate disappointment when I came back home. Sure, people do dress up and go out, but it's the minority. You start to see a lot of people in their costumes at around, let's say, 10 PM. Most just drift off to private parties. Some of my friends have never even gone trick or treating. It's a sad reality. But seeing all of the creepy jitters going through Mibba, I decided to join you all.

I don't have a dress up theme for my Mibba yet. Well, technically, I'm currently dressed up as Sakura Haruno from Naruto, but that doesn't count. Hmm, I don't even have a costume for the big day. Last year I just smeared black make up on my face and tangled up my hair (then left it to people's assumptions as to what I was). It was a bit embarrassing, because I left the house during the evening and took a public bus. Needless to say, heads were turned. Nobody was dressed up. I was mortified. It wasn't until night rolled in that the zombies climbed out of their graves; most of my friends didn't even dress up. Sigh.

Because I don't want to hand out more than I can handle, I'm setting a limited amount of hand-outs to my candies. Specially the Wonka candies, cause they always mysteriously disappear.
