Have I ever mentioned...

How much I absolutely despise sequels?

Not only do I despise making them (I have a few already), but I despise reading them. You know, I get when a story or book has a series and all, but sometimes the first book is better than the second, which really, really sucks.

I suppose this post is hypocritical, considering I have a few sequels myself, as I said above. However, I'm even starting to hate them. I forgot about one of them since I could care less about it, and my other one is just bleh. Since other people like it, though, I'll just continue it until I get bored enough to finish it.

But anyway! Back to the rant. I've read a few series in my lifetime and I hate waiting for the second book when an author leaves off with a cliffhanger! Like, what the hell is wrong with you? Why would you make us wait! It makes me mad. I want the second book NOW. Not later, now. But they can't understand that.

And then sometimes when you get this second book you've been waiting for, forever, it sucks! Or it's not as good. Or it drones on and on and on. I hate sequels. So much.
