Pierce The Veil: I'm So Thankful.

As most of you probably know I went to the Collide With The Sky tour, Pierce The Veil's headlining tour on my birthday, the 16th of October. Even though the concert was about a month ago something Vic Fuentes said on that stage still haunts me.

It was between songs and he was talking to the audience, I can't remember what song that had been about to play, but Vic said, "How many of you can truly say that music has saved your life?" I remember that I screamed as almost everybody else in the room did at that moment and I realized more than I ever had before (I had realized this before too) that I was truly telling the honest truth when I signaled to Vic that music had saved my life.

I remember that at the moment Vic had shifted to walk across the stage and at that moment I had gotten a better look at him than I had before. That moment had etched into my mind.

This by far is the most important blog I have typed up. It really started in 8th grade and I owe my thanks to two people that I do not care for, my ex-best friend and someone that was sort of my friend, but she could be a bitch to me. They showed me the more hardcore side over music other than the music I listened to (and at that point in my life I didn't listen to music as much as I used to).

They showed me Black Veil Brides and I admit I have grown in my musical tastes and I haven't really listened to this group in a while. I didn't really care for the music at first, but then I wanted to listen to it more and more (that's how it happens with a lot of the music I like today). The first song I ever heard in this "hardcore scene" for lack of better description was "Knives And Pens."

I listened to other bands in the post-hardcore, metal, and punk-pop spectrum and I owe my like to these bands.

I could go on, but I have already put so much and I'm laying myself basically out there on the line. I honestly have no earthly idea what I would be or how I would survive without the meaning, beautiful music I listen to and if you disagree say one of my heroes isn't a hero at all I would tell you that you are wrong. All of these bands and a few other have saved me and lifted me from my darkest depths when I needed it the most. Thank you to all the wonderful bands I have loved and will carry in my heart forever. <3
