Why Do People Cut Grass?

Why do people cut grass?
So that it won’t grow too long, of course. So it won’t look so wild, but will look nice and tamed.
For some reason it annoys me, though. I like the grass when it looks wild and untamed. It looks so beautiful, and not so flat and lifeless.

I will never cut the grass. I will let it grow until my neighbors think I’m crazy.
And I will let the weeds grow as well. Because it is pretty. And a part of nature. And they are in all sorts of colours, and I don’t need to buy expensive seeds to grow them.

I will have trees. Big trees that you can climb and has apples you can eat.
And berries. I will have all sorts of berries, you can eat as well.
My garden will be enclosed with bushes. But not those squared bushes that everyone has. They should look like bushes and not like a green wall.

And people might think my garden looks like something someone left for years, but go ahead and ask a child if he or she would rather play in the squared gardens that look like every other garden in the world, or the garden that looks like a fairytale.

How do your dream garden look like?
Would you cut the grass?
