"Draw your swords and steel yourself..."

"Draw your swords and steel yourself... this is going to be one bloody hard battle!"

The first chapter of my narrative piece has been published. War on the Wind, the story features the clashing of swords, the lull in noise before a storm of arrows makes its descent, the promise of a battle between not just humans, but something more.

If you're interested, please have read and feel free to critique.

This is actually very well written. Your imagery and prose in particular is good- 'went from one ruin to another' is a great line, as is 'the possessions they held stolen by scavengers'. I can see that planning that went into the first chapter, and wish you all the best with your plan for weekly releases.

It's a pretty good story, even though I'm not a huge fan of this genre. It's a good story, with great potential. Your writing style makes it seem like I'm actually on the battlefield myself.
