Yay or Nay

Alright so lately I've been in kind of a funk; writer's block really. I have no clue how to continue Me and Oli Talking so I think I may start another story and let my mind kind of rest with Oli.
I googled some writing prompts and I found one that kind of caught my attention:
"Write about a civilization in which it is forever winter. Write about how said civilization has evolved and why it's always snowing and perhaps leave clues that winter may be ending."
So, that's the idea. Post-apocalyptic civilization in which it is eternally winter. I'm thinking the main character will have never lived in a time where there was not snow so when the snow starts to melt she's completely... mesmerized for lack of a better term.
So, what does everyone think? Yay or nay?
