Reality hits home

Today my grandfather woke me up early saying that I was to babylonian. He made me join him in prayer which meant a healthy dose of ganja. After prayer he took me to nine mile where we all used to live. Seeing the house I was born in made me realize a lot. The world was supposed to end today and standing there in front of the one room shack I was born in along with my 3 sisters and 7 brother I realized I've come a long long way. We all have in my family. We have running water clean water at that. Bedrooms with beds cold food tv Internet computers iPads phones and cable. My mom didnt. All she had where her brothers and sisters. We have lights stoves ac and heating. She had candles and a wood stove. I stood there with my grandpa and looked around me. People where hungry missing teeth had ragged clothes and little to nothing to their names but they where happy. Despite everything they had smiles on their faces. I don't know if it's the ganja Or if it's just the air but I do know one thing. I have everything to be thankful for even if I forget that sometimes
