First of all, I just want to say that i saw sparks has done a fabulous job of moderating Secret Santa. Props for that!
But I really don't understand why people sign up for something like that, and then just not write the stories they signed up to do. Like what was the point in signing up, accepting a story that someone worked really hard on for you, and not doing your part by writing a simple little oneshot? I just don't understand that at all, and quite frankly, it pisses me off.
So what if you don't like the fandom you've been dealt. I absolutely HATE writing fics about Josh Hutcherson, because I don't find him attractive at all, and I have no interest in his life whatsoever. But I still busted my ass to write a TWO shot (not just a one shot) for my recipient because I think she deserved it. If she's going to write a good oneshot for someone, she should get an awesome oneshot back. Yes? Yes.
And then, when someone just "doesn't feel like it" or whatever, they just don't write anything at all. Or they half-ass it like they didn't even care. I feel bad for the creator of the thread right now because she's writing five oneshots for people who aren't going to get one because the person that was SUPPOSED to write one for them, just didn't. And that makes me so mad.
The deadline to write the stories is was NYE, and I still haven't received mine. And it's not a big deal or anything to me, but to some people it is a big deal. She graciously extended the deadline to January 8th so that maybe someone else will send their stories, but I doubt it; if they didn't get it in by today, I doubt they'll get it in by the 8th. More than likely, they just decided not to do it.
I'm so mad.
