Next Semester's Reading List..

So I'm thinking of majoring in Secondary English now, and I thought I would share my lovely list of literature I get to read this coming semester.

An Ethiopian Romance- Heliodorus
Tom Jones- Henry Fielding
Story of the Stone (Volume 1)- Cao Xueqin
Emma- Jane Austen
The Romance of a Shop- Amy Levy (I think this is a book of poems)
Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde & Other Tales- Robert Louis Stevenson
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes- Arthur Conan Doyle
Oliver Twist- Charles Dickens

I know some of these are classics, so I was wondering if anyone has read any of them. If you have I would love to hear thoughts. Good or bad? I know that Tom Jones is over 800 pages...ugh. And this list is only for two of my seven classes. Horrified to say the least.
