Cliques

So I'm curious...

The high schools I went to (here in Australia) never really had strong cliques. None of us truly were separated into 'popular', 'jocks, 'goths' or other such group names and even in our final year we ended up coming together as a complete collective group anyway.

My question is... what is your high school like? American schools in particular have been portrayed through movies and such... but is that truly how defined students are at school? Do the cheerleaders or jocks or 'royals' of the school truly pick on the nerds? Are nerds simply defined in their category due to being smart and enjoying reading?

And lastly, which clique do you fit into?
