"The Times Are a Changin' "

Jesus guys, I don't mean to sound lik a jerk but I've been sifting through some stories on here and I passed a couple of One Direction slashes, and I'm like...what?

I am so used to seeing slashes on here, especially when it comes to the kind of band member fan-fiction that I usually search through. But I kind of giggled when I saw these on here because when I think of One Direction fans I think of them as younger kids.

Like kids who are 12-13ish, maybe that's just a stereotype and shame on me if it is. I just thought it was a little awkward that teens that age are writing such graphic stories such as NC-17.

I'm not preaching or anything here guys; I know that when I was that age I was definitely more conservative and prudish and I'm not going to lie naïve.

I guess what this blog entry really comes down to is the change in era. It may just be me, but I'm a 90's kid, and those of you who are too. We had are fair share of boy bands too but I have never seen fan-fics about them before, especially such raunchy ones.

Now I'm not trying to be hipocritical, because I do write smut in my stories, but maybe I look at pop musicians differently than I look at my idols.

Or I just live under a rock, that could be extremely possible too.

I'm not hatin', but as I've grown up I've come to like pop music less and less. Just as I'm sure others don't like my choice in music either. As always I'm just making an observation of what I've been seeing lately.

Does anyone else think the same thing?

Or am I just a crazy old eighteen year-old?
