Seriously now........I see this A LOT on Facebook and in stories. I mean...those are words people should have learned back in elementary school. I dropped out of school around the 10th grade, but I even know better than to make that simple spelling mistake.
I'm not claiming to be any type of writing or spelling genius here, but for real, when it comes to the most simplest of words, some people are just either plain lazy, or illiterate.
People also make the common mistake of these words.......
Your when it should be You're
Threw when it should be Through
Their when it should be They're
I'm sure there are tons more, but for some reason QUITE when it should be QUIET, bothers the hell out of me. It might be because it's the one most commonly used wrong.
On another note, I know that sometimes it's common to overlook a spelling mistake in a story. Maybe like one or two words in the entire thing, but when there are spelling mistakes in nearly every damn paragraph, it makes me wonder if the author even did a proof reading before pushing, "Submit."
Maybe I'm a little weird, but I re-read my update like five times before I post it to make sure everything is spelled correctly and looks legit. I know I'm human and probably have a mistake here and there in my stories or writing, but at least I try, ya know?
