Wow I... Did not see that coming, to be honest. It's circulating on tumblr right now and I guess it JUST happened because I haven't seen a whole lot of sobbing on my dash... not just yet.
I guess there will be more on why this happened later, but for now, I feel bad for the fans. I'm sure the members will do their own things (get ready for Gerard Way solo album maybe...?) I used to love the band back in the Revenge era, and dug TBP for a while, but sort of... liked other things after that (went into my Madchester/Britpop phase and that has not changed) But MCR has a special place in my heart for being my obsession in my early teens. A critical stage. They also got me into writing, because I read so much fanfiction of them (this was before it was all entirely slash, god, I feel old). TBP got me through a lot when I was having nasty health problems around 13/14. Even if I don't like it anymore, it still means a lot to me.
So I'm sorry to everyone who loves them, I did at one point and feel a little sad as well. (◡︿◡✿)
