The Host~

Omg! Omg! OMG! Was my first reaction after beginning to read the epic phenomenon that is The Host. I absolutely loved the book and the film did come close. I know you twi-haters out there probably rated it like a 1 or something because it was written by the same author, but to be honest The Host, was the most touching, beautiful, romantic story I have ever read or seen and that is why I love it so god damn much! This is my opinion of The Host and I'd love to hear other people's views on it too because everyone has different opinions I guess. The Host may not be everyone's cup of tea but I can give you 5 reasons why, if you're like me, then The Host is the perfect book/film for you:
1) Romance- the romance in this is nothing like Twilight but it is still beautiful and truly memorable.
2) Action- there are some kick-ass scenes in both the book and the film that you just will love!
3) Sci-Fi- this is coming from a girl who doesn't normally tend to like Sci-Fi's but this, I absolutely loved!
4) Characters- the characters develop throughout the novel, making them more personal and understanding to the reader.
5) Twists- there are some epic twists in The Host, especially the one at the end, which I wont ruin for you...

Personally, I recommend The Host to all of those who just love a little love, action and Sci-Fi, all in one. My personal rating of The Host would be a 8.9, as it has amazing twists, deep characters and beautiful scenes but obviously, this is slightly biased. The reason why some may rate low of The Host, may be because they are Twilight haters or maybe, they just don't like the type of writing Stephanie Meyer writes. Personally, I think that she is a true, memorable and inspiring talent but others may have their own opinions of this. Well, this is me, a true fan of The Host and I really hope, that if you have read or seen it, that you loved it just as much as I did...x
