top 10 favourite books: #9 Shift (Em Bailey)

I initially bought this book to take on holiday with me, as it looked interesting but not too complexed. y'know, just light holiday reading.
Olive was once one of the popular kids in school, but after a suicide attempt and a stretch of time in teen mental ward, she returns to school to find her old friends have completely turned against her and she is the most uncool person in school. Then a girl called Miranda joins her class befriends Olive's ex best friend Katie. But then things turn weird when Miranda starts walking, talking and dressing like katie, even dating Katie's boyfriend, while Katie fades into nothing. Olive has to work out why and how Miranda is becoming the life ans soul and why katie is suddenly dead. 7/10
