This is a wonderful, wonderful coming of age story full of emotion, charm, tragedy and young romance.
Iris lives with her dad and brother since her mum left her dad. Her brother has gone off-the-rails and her dad struggles to keep it together. A family of gypsy's inhabit a field on their farm, and although her dad and brother want them gone, Iris falls in love with a gypsy boy. But things turn worse than expected when her brother takes matters into his own hands.
I recommend this book for anyone who wants a light read about youth and loss. The only thing that I would say against it is that the blurb on the back is quite misleading, but the blurb on the front page describes more about what the story actually is about. 8/10
