Top 3 now...these books are all my absolute favourites!
What made me love this book more than anything is how it's written. It is an ongoing letter to the man that kidnapped the speaker in the story, a teenager called Gemma.
The story kind of follows the relationship between captor and victim, a Stockholm-syndrome relationship which is not quite romance but by the end, it is no longer hate.
I don't want to ruin this story for anyone who reads it, so i won;t go too deeply into the plot. The thing is, this story is really unnerving. It's a psychological thriller and is way too tense to put down.
