It Feels Like Three Blondes and that One Brunette in the Corner.

I'm starting to feel like most of the authors on here use only blonde female leads. Which is okay; you can't change the image of a character when it comes to mind. It just feels slightly unfair to me only because blondes are always given that connotation of "having more fun." I have blonde friends and relatives and they aren't condescending or anything, but the way blondes are used more than brunettes or redheads it just makes me wonder if some think brunettes or redheads are less attractive than blondes?

I am a brunette and I am a little curious to know why these hair colors have gotten personalities? Why blondes seem to be shining in the spotlight, while brunettes and redheads are like the wallflowers sitting in the corner?

This isn't meant to insult anyone and I'm not prejudice against blondes but I am curious to know, where all of these perceptions came from.
