Would You Rather...

I've got a question about love, and I was curious as to what others would say about it.

If true love were true and you knew who your true love was but didn't know if you would ever find that one person face-to-face, would you just settle for finding someone else to love and go through the process of multiple relationships?

Confused? Here, let me elaborate....

Let's say you're having a dream and one day you wake up and the girl/guy you were dreaming about you are sure is your true love. This is a gut feeling, and you know it's true as much as you know how good your favorite food tastes. The problem is, you don't know where he/she is to locate them. You know they exist though, you know what they look like, and maybe you were fortunate enough to pick up a name and a few facts about them but nothing groundbreaking that would lead you to them.

Would you go on a wild goose chase to find that one true love? Or would you decide to give up on "the Dream" of finding them, settle down with someone who's a fairly decent person, and live your life dealing with the "what ifs" in the back of your mind.
