Mibba has been a huge part of my life throughout the summer. Yes, I have done absolutely nothing with my life this season or have I done too much of anything that produces fruit for my chosen career. But September 3, 2013 marks the day of my sophomore year in college. (Never thought I'd say that.) I really want this year to be so much better than the last. Last year was great and all with all of the performances I did, but I am dreaming for more exposure. I want to have a job this first semester and then start establishing myself as a performer next semester.
My days are packed with long hours of school already and hopefully, some of my free time will be taken away with a paying job. All of this means however, that I won't be able to come on Mibba all of the time and others might also not be able to update their stories and blogs and other things as much as they did this summer. But it seems that, that epidemic has already begun, sadly. Nonetheless, I love Mibba even with all of it's flaws and all of the people that feel the same!
Previously, I've only been swimming around in the Stories and for the first, I jumped out of the water and looked around in the rest of Mibba and I feel like it's a whole new world!
Let's hope that I'll be able to sit down and get on here to explore some more new things while I'm lounging in the Dance Center basement. We're all writers here; of course we'll all find a way. ;)
This has been something I've been waiting for all summer. Being back in the city! Surrounded by so much LIFE! There's also plenty of apprehension considering I'm trying to reevaluate and change and make better all of the mistakes I made last year. Who doesn't like progress or improvement? :)
If you're beginning your junior or senior year in high school and you're completely into the arts and media, be sure to look at Columbia College Chicago as a school choice! (It's also in the heart of the city!)
